Product Condition Guide
Origin and physical condition describe different things. A new item is not automatically Genuine, and an OEM item is not automatically vehicle-brand original.
Product origin and description
- Genuine / Original: a part described as an original part of the vehicle brand, supported by the item-specific listing and available identification. Do not infer this description from appearance alone.
- OEM: identifies an original-equipment manufacturer relationship where supported for the particular product. An OEM label alone does not establish vehicle-brand Genuine/Original status, identical specification or brand authorization.
- Aftermarket: a replacement or alternative product marketed outside the vehicle brand’s original-parts supply. Check the stated manufacturer, specification and application; the term alone does not determine quality.
Physical condition
- New: described as not previously used. Confirm the listing’s contents and any disclosed handling or packaging condition.
- Reconditioned: previously used and subsequently restored or refurbished to the scope stated in the listing. Do not assume every internal component is new or that a particular test or warranty is included.
- Used: previously in service. Wear, appearance, included components and any disclosed limitations should be considered item by item.
Read the item-specific listing
Check origin claims separately from condition, brand, Part Number and warranty. Ask about unclear or conflicting information before buying. LSW does not describe every product as an original vehicle-brand part. Product availability controls can prevent purchase of finite-inventory items even when the listing is visible.
